The Arrival

Mehdi Keramati

AI-Assisted Software Engineer

I build web products with React, Next.js and TypeScript, and since late 2025 I work across frontend, backend and API integration with AI coding tools and review what they produce.

Notes from the workbench

I started on the frontend in 2021, and most of my work since then has been production web products built with React, Next.js and TypeScript. Along the way I shipped a cross-platform Expo app for Web, Android and iOS.

From January 2023 to September 2025 I was a front-end developer at Herzens App, an Austria-based company, building the portals, care-agency software and time-tracking tools listed further down. I worked from Figma designs and connected the UIs to REST and GraphQL APIs.

Since November 2025 I've worked across more of the stack at Rastar. I use AI coding tools to implement features, read unfamiliar code, debug and refactor, and I review what they produce before it ships.

Right now I'm learning web application security: OWASP, common vulnerabilities, security testing and bug bounty.

The Road So Far · Experience

Three stops on one road

  1. Stop 1 · The Crossroads

    Freelance Software Developer

    Independent

    2021 – present · Project-based · Remote

    • Develop web interfaces, landing pages, dashboards and web apps with React, Next.js, TypeScript and JavaScript.
    • Build cross-platform applications with Expo, and use AI coding tools on newer projects.
  2. Stop 2 · The Long Valley

    Front-End Developer

    Herzens App / FastPrj

    Jan 2023 – Sep 2025 · Full-time · Remote · Austria-based company

Still learning

What I'm studying now: how web applications fail and how they're defended.

  • OWASP
  • Common web vulnerabilities
  • Security testing
  • Bug bounty

How this site practises it

  • This site uses a hash-based Content-Security-Policy with no inline-script allowance.
  • It loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers. Everything is self-hosted.
  • Dependencies are pinned to exact versions, and the build fails on palette and audit checks.
  • A security.txt is published at /.well-known/security.txt.
